Bliss Carradine’s love life has always been up and down. Because of her demisexuality, she struggles to find a true connection with someone. There is one man she connects with, however: Theo, the ex-husband she married so he could afford an expensive eye surgery. Still, she’s shocked when, following her decision to move back to her hometown of Tucson, he shows up in Arizona.
Theo Diaz doesn’t make big life decisions on a whim, and yet, after he and Bliss kiss the night before she leaves Orlando, he decides following her to Tucson is the perfect romantic surprise. Sadly, Theo ends up being the one surprised when Bliss tells him she has no interest in dating. He’s ready for a new adventure, though, and chooses to stay in Arizona and start a new life for himself.
As their friendship grows, Bliss and Theo’s feelings for each other deepen and soon they’re heading into new territory: a relationship. But then Theo’s real reason for moving to Tucson is exposed, and it’s up to Theo to convince Bliss that following her across the country was the best decision he’s ever made for both of them.

MEET JESSICA
Jessica Roberts’ journey into the world of romance began at age 12 when her best friend thrust a Harlequin Presents into her hands. She immediately devoured the slim paperback, paying careful attention to the spicy love scenes. From that moment forward, she read as many books with happily-ever-afters as possible (and still does today). The only difference is now she writes steamy contemporary romances of her own, tales of heart and heat that follow root-worthy couples on their journey to love usually (but not always) set in her beloved home state of Arizona.
She still resides in The Grand Canyon State and spends most of her days typing away in front of her computer, doing whatever possible to stay out of the triple-digit heat. Unless it’s winter. Then she doesn’t mind venturing outdoors. She also enjoys walking her dog (Sandy, a Shar Pei/Bloodhound rescue), baking, cooking, adding new scents to her massive perfume collection, watching YouTube videos, and occasionally jetting off to England, her absolute favorite country in the world (a big reason for this being that her father is British).
