Yes, it’s true, I’m getting all my ducks in a row to publish another book this year. When I started publishing last year, I decided I wanted to try my best to publish at least one book every year moving forward.
I’m going to be honest here…I’m not sure if I’ll be able to publish my book before the end of this year.
What a lot of people who aren’t in self-publishing don’t realize is that when you want to hire freelance editors to polish your manuscript, you have to hire them far, far in advance. Unfortunately, I reached out to editors late and all my editing is happening in the fall/winter, which means there’s a big chance that I won’t be ready to publish before December 31st.
I plan to try really hard to do that, but at the same time, I don’t want to put out an inferior product. I want my next book to be the best it can be and rushing the process won’t help.
As we get closer to the end of the year, I’ll do a cover and summary reveal and hopefully I’ll be able to give you a solid release date.
No one ever said self-publishing was easy, but that’s not why we do it.
We do it because we love to write and want to share our stories and characters with the world.
Stay tuned to my blog for more updates on my contemporary romance standalone and happy reading!
